Carolyn Primeaux

Carolyn LaCour Primeaux, of Hillsborough NC, passed away February 6, 2016. She was born on January 15, 1946 to Lester D. LaCour and Carrie Brass LaCour. She grew up in the Los Angeles area and spent summers with family in Louisiana and Iowa. After attaining her Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from Cal State Fullerton, she gained employment with Unocal as a geochemist, and later served as a science teacher and tutor in both Louisiana and North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Patricia Holguin, and her second husband Donald Primeaux. She is survived by her daughters Sharon Smith and Diane Darlington, her grandchildren Parker and Laura, her sister Renee Stapleton, her brother Charles LaCour, and extended family and step-family. Funeral mass will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 216 Governor Burke Road, Hillsborough, NC 27278. A private interment service will be held at a later date.
