Carolyn Hunt Cross-Talbert

Carolyn Cross-Talbert, of Hillsborough, N.C. died May 30, 2021. She was born Feb 16, 1944 to Ralph and Hilda Tucker of Durham, N.C.. After completing their studies, she and her brother Dr. Kent Tucker started their respective careers. November of 1974 she married James C. Cross of Hillsborough, N.C., and helped to raise the five Cross kids as her own. She continued and enjoyed working into retirement from the E.P.A.. In 1996, she moved back to North Carolina from Watkinsville, GA; marrying Larry Talbert, of Hillsborough, N.C.. She loved her families, line dancing, polka-dots and her dogs. A strong woman of courage and determination; she was a blessing for those who knew her. She is survived by her husband, Larry, of the home. Other survivors include her brother, Kent and Becky Tucker; her step-kids Jim Cross Jr. with son, Cody; Mark Cross, Kathi Gilbride, with Daughter Alisun, Ari, Emalyn and Braysun. David and Nan Cross with son, Joey; Tawni and Sam Denton, with Eden. Larry's family including, Kristi Talbert Barnes & Jaffey Brooke, Kevin & Jaxson Holt Jordan Adrian & Finley Barnes Larry Kevin Talbert & Kim Logan Breana & Easton Talbert Hunter Talbert Ashley Talbert. Memorial service is scheduled for June 8th. Visitation at 10:30 a.m. and services at 11:00.
