ORANGE Carnie Joe Clark CHAPEL HILL —Carnie Joe Clark, of Chapel Hill, NC passed away at the age of 80 on Monday, September 1, 2014 at UNC Hospital. Joe was a native of Carrboro and was a retired volunteer fireman of the Carrboro Fire Department. He was a licensed electrical contractor serving the Chapel Hill - Carrboro community for over 58 years. Joe was a very special man who was loved by everyone and was humbled by people's kindness to him. In his spare time he liked to fish and spend time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports. He was a loving family man who adored his wife Martha of more than 57 years of marriage. He was a wonderful father, an amazing grandfather, and a mentor to his nephews and nieces whom he loved like his own. He was so proud of all of his family. He is preceded in death by his parents Carnie Wade and Bucanon Horne Clark and his sister Bobbie Lou Smith. He is survived by his loving wife Martha Stephenson Clark, his sons Timothy Joe Clark, Rickie Todd Clark and wife Sue Andrews Clark, Grandchildren Jessica Nicole and Rickie Tyler, and his loving brother James Add Clark and wife Dawanna and a host of nephews and nieces. Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, September 5, 2014, at Orange United Methodist Church, Chapel Hill. The family will receive guests in the fellowship hall prior to the service - 2:00-3:00 pm. Burial will follow at Westwood Cemetery in Carrboro.
