Carl Foster

Carl Douglas "Doug" Foster, 73, of Mebane passed away Tuesday January 26, 2016. He was born November 11, 1942, in Alamance County to the Late Ransom C. and Beatrice Huss Foster. Doug was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Mebane. He was retired from General Electric. He loved his children and grandchildren dearly and he enjoyed going to Bible College and reading the Bible. He enjoyed spending time at the beach and fishing. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Juanita Ray. Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Mary Foster; children, Judy Anita Foster Cotterill, Amy Foster Daniels and husband Gregory, Anthony Foster and wife Traci, Joseph Foster; sister, Gwenn Keene; 10 grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. A memorial service in Doug's honor will be held at 4:00 PM, Thursday, January 28th at Faith Baptist Church 5100 West Ten Road, Efland, NC 27243 with Pastor Keith Spake officiating. The family will receive visitors at the church fellowship hall following the service. Walker's Funeral Home of Mebane is in charge of arrangements.
