Mr. Bobby Lou Gentry, age 83 passed away on Monday, August 10, 2020, at UNC Hospice in Pittsboro, N.C. He was born on April 2nd, 1937 in Roxboro, N.C. to Lovie Sue Clayton and Willy Louis Gentry. Mr. Gentry owned his own roofing company. He retired in 2008. Mr. Gentry is survived by two daughters Glenda Hoffman (Marty) of Shelbyville, Tenn., and Elaine Chamberlain of Hillsborough, N.C., step-daughter Diane Lee (Mike) of Dallas, N.C., and step-son Richard Bradshaw of South Carolina. Mr. Gentry has 21 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren. He is survived by one sister Pauline Carton of Roxboro, two brothers John Lewis Gentry of Norfolk, Virginia, Wesley Hamlet of Knoxville, Tenn. The family will receive visitors at 1:00PM at Walker's Funeral Home in Hillsborough. Graveside services will be at 2:30PM on Wednesday in Gospel Baptist Tabernacle, 2646 Orange Grove Rd., Hillsborough, N.C. 27278 and will be officiated by Pastor David Bolick. Pallbearers: Michael Chamberlain, Johathan Page, Timothy Page, Billy Walton, Johnathan Wilkins, and Roger Yarborough, Jr.
