Bill Miller

March 5, 1930 — June 11, 2018

Bill Miller, 88, died Monday, June 11, 2018. A native of Orange County, he was the son of the late William and Annie Miller. Mr. Miller graduated from Hillsborough High School. He proudly served his county with the U.S. Army. He worked for Standard Oil, Walker's Funeral Home of Chapel Hill, and later for the U.S. Government Soil Conservation Service until his retirement. Survivivng are his wife Linda L. Miller; brother, Bobby Miller; step-daughter, Donna Gray; step-son; Bruce Chambers (Tresca), two step-granddaughters, Megan Gray (fiance Corey Shotwell) and Heather Littles (Anthony); two step-great grandchilddren, A. J. and Aubrey Littles; two sisters-in-law, Marie and Evelyn Miller; nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Bill was predeceased by one sister, Mary McBroom, and two brothers, Hamilton and Guy Miller. A funeral service was held 11 AM Saturday, June 16, 2018 in Little River Presbyterian Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Ray Nichols, Tommy Hamlin, Stevie James, Kenneth Long, Tom Ludwig and David Jenkins. Employees of the ASC office will serve as Honorary Pallbearers. The Miller family is under the care of Walker's Funeral Home of Hillsborough.
