Beverly Greenhill Ferguson

Beverly Greenhill Ferguson born on January 2, 1953, passed away surrounded by love at UNC Hospital on March 6, 2021. A true Chapel Hill native, Beverly attended Chapel Hill High School. Working in different departments throughout her 30 years at UNC Hospitals; she retired within the OBGYN clinic. This was a position that she loved and truly became her passion. Beverly’s greatest love was family. She was the truest definition of what a wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt truly was. Married for 50 years to Edward Arnold Ferguson, they lived happily in Chapel Hill. She is survived by a son and a daughter who loved her dearly. Her son Travis Ferguson, resides in Charlotte with wife Mindy and children Ella, Lucas and Bennett. Her daughter Caitlin Ferguson resides in Chapel Hill. Beverly is survived by former sister-in-law Donna Greenhill Brown; nephew Nathan Greenhill; sister-in-law Faye Lloyd, and husband Wayne Lloyd; niece, Wanda Lloyd; nephew, Jerry Lloyd; and brother-in-law Ben Ferguson. Preceding her in death was her father, Charles Greenhill; mother, Nannie Ruth Greenhill; brothers Larry, Michael and Wallace Greenhill; mother-in-law, Clara Ferguson; sisters-in-law, Shirley Ferguson and Barbara Ferguson; and nieces Wendy Lloyd and Sharon Tripp. A small memorial service was held on March 12, 2021 in the Chapel of Walker's Funeral Home in Chapel Hill.
