Arnold Hamm

Orange County Hillsborough - Arnold Braxton Hamm, 80, died Monday, October 27, 2014. He was born in Green County and served in the US Army. He married Hazel Joyce Webb in 1957. He was a sharecropper, worked for a gas co., and was a truck driver. He was ordained into the ministry and was affiliated with the Church of God. He served churches in New Port, Carrboro, Blowing Rock, Mebane and others. He enjoyed his family, fishing and his ministry. Surviving are three daughters: Kimberly H. Cook, Hillsborough, Sharon Hamm, Carrboro, and Gail Hamm, Carrboro; three sons: Tommy Cook, Hillsborough, Billy Hamm, Carrboro, and David Hamm, Carrboro; his sister, Janice Faye Hamm, Wilson; his brother, Earl Hamm, FL; three grandchildren: Bobby Hamm, Brandon Frye, and Anthony Hamm; two great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife and four brothers. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Friday in Church of God. Visitation will be 6:30-8:30 PM Thursday in Walker's Funeral Home of Hillsborough.
