Anne Radhe Kerwin, 70, of Pittsboro, NC, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 8, 2025, surrounded by her loving family and friends, following her incredibly brave battle with cancer.
Anne is survived by her loving family; husband of 49+ years William “Ed” Kerwin, Jr. (married December 12, 1975); son Bryan E. Kerwin and partner/fiancée Hollie Rennell; daughter Kelly Anne Blair and husband Kelly S. Blair, their children Bret, Carter, and Violet; son Patrick W. Kerwin and wife Jordie J. Kerwin, their daughters Harlie, Hattie, and Caroline. Anne is also survived by brother Richard Radhe and wife Karin Radhe; brother William Radhe and wife Sue Ellen Radhe; and sister-in-law Betty Kerwin. She was preceded in death by her mother Patricia C. Radhe, father Sven G. Radhe, and brother-in-law Jim Kerwin.
Anne was born at George Washington University Hospital in Washington, DC. She grew up in Columbia, Maryland. She graduated in 1972 from Altholton High School in Simpsonville, MD. Anne and her immediate family lived in Maryland, Florida, and have been in North Carolina since 1996. Anne had several fulfilling jobs and responsibilities throughout her spirited life, none more important than fulltime loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother (gigi).
Anne enjoyed life to the fullest being with family, friends, and absolutely everyone she met. She brought great joy to everything she did. Anne loved to bake and is known by many to have made the world’s best carrot cake. Throughout her life, she cheerfully offered her love and support to so many people and will always be remembered for her smile, laugh, and second to none sunny disposition.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Orange United Methodist Church (1220 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Chapel Hill, NC 27514). www.orangemethodist.org
