Ann Shanklin

Mebane Ann Mary Levangie Shanklin, 82 of Mebane passed away on October 20, 2014. She was born in Boston, MA on July 23, 1932 to the late Daniel Xavier and Alice Walters Levangie. In addition to her parents Ann was preceded in death by sons, Daniel Robert Shanklin, John Robert Shanklin, Jr., Paul Augustus Shanklin; brother, Bob Levangie. Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 63 years, John Robert "Johnnie" Shanklin, Sr. of Mebane; daughters, Linda Polak and husband Gerray of Mebane, Jeanne Robbins and husband Jeff of Mebane; brothers, William "Bill" Levangie of SC, Jon Levangie of MA; 13 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. A graveside service will be 11:00 AM Thursday, October 23 at Oakwood Cemetery, Mebane with Fr. Steve Worsley officiating. Visitation will be 9:00 to 10:30 AM at Walker's Funeral Home of Mebane.
