Anita Simmons

Hurdle Mills - Anita Diane Blackwood Simmons, 43, died Friday, June 26, 2015. She was born in Durham. She was a graduate of Orange High School and cosmetology school. She cared for her parents and her own family for whom she loved very much. She enjoyed her family and friends. Surviving are her husband, Frank Simmons, her daughter, Sydney Simmons, her son, Jonathan Simmons, her grandson, Noah Simmons, her sister, Carol Bell, three brothers: Roy Blackwood, Jr., Tommy Blackwood (Robin), and Alex Blackwood (Lisa), nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by her parents: Linda and Roy Blackwood. Visitation will be 2-3 PM Monday in Walker's Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 3 PM Monday in Walker's Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Tommy Lamm.
