Alvis Scarlett

Hillsborough - Mr. Alvis Henry Scarlett, 86, the son of the late Robert and Myrtle Scarlett, passed away peacefully May 9, 2018 surrounded by his family. Mr. Scarlett is survived by his son, James N. Scarlett, and his wife, Mitzi, of Haw River; daughter, Tammy E. Scarlett, of the home; five granddaughters, five great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; one brother, and four sisters. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Cleaon Toney Scarlett; daughter, Toney Scarlett; and granddaughter, Francis Scarlett. A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 12, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Walker's Home in Hillsborough. Officiating was Rev. Odell Link. Burial with Military Honors followed in the Hillsborough Town Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jack Wood, Jacob Wood, Josh Wood, Robert Scarlett, Roger Scarlett, and Wade Snipes. The Scarlett family is under the care of Walker's Funeral Home of Hillsborough.
