Norman Murray

Norman Earl Murray, 82 of Durham passed away in Durham on February 2, 2020. Mr. Murray was a member of the U.S. Army and he loved to sing and perform with friends and colleagues. Norman was born to Gattis Herbert Murray and Mittie Mabel Simpson. He is survived by his wife and best friend: Lou Hunt Murray; Sisters: Janet Shambley and Virginia Young, Children and Stepchildren: Jeannine Whitfield and husband Mike, Derek Murray and wife Sheila, Mark Murray and wife April, and Teresa Hunt, Grandchildren: Cory Morgan and husband David, Brandi Honeycutt, and Chance Murray, and Great Grandchildren: Cameron Lewis, Taylor Morgan Angel Honeycutt, and Marissa Honeycutt. Dylan Herndon, he always held a special place for you too, buddy! A memorial service will be held at Walker’s Funeral Home in Hillsborough on Wednesday, February 5th, 2020 at 11am. Walker’s Funeral Home of Hillsborough is caring for the Murray family.
