Johnny Martin

Johnny Marshall Martin was born on December 7th, 1939 from Roxboro, NC. He was the son of the late Clarence & Odessa Martin. Marshall passed away on May 22nd 2023. He was surrounded by his loving family as he went home to be with his Lord and Savior. Marshall resided in Mebane, North Carolina for over 60 years. He retired as a machinist in textiles. He was an active member of Eastside Baptist Church for over 50 years where he served as a deacon. Marshall’s mission in life was to spread the gospel and in his free time he was helping others and making friends. Marshall NEVER MET A STRANGER! His family meant the world to him. Spending time with his family always put a smile on his face.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Nancy Walker Martin. His children, Johnny Dino Martin (Lisa), Penny Owens (Robbie) and Lisa Martin McQuay (Scott). His brother, Allie Martin (Ruth), his sister Janice McDaniel (Jimmy) and sister Betty Scott (Doug). Six grandchildren, Jessica Martin (Dylan), Chelcie Faucette (Speedy), Courtnie Smith, Dalton Owens, Spencer McQuay & Emily Anne McQuay. Three Step-grandchildren, Kelli Moore (Dylan), William Stutts (Jenna) and Josh Bailey. Four great grandchildren, Emma Grace Faucette, Nolan Faucette, Augustus Shaver and Tylan Moore. Two step-grandchildren, Ivey Moore and Braxton Stutts.

Marshall was proceeded in death by his sisters, Evelyn Terrell, Carolyn Littlejohn and brother Richard Martin.

Funeral Services will be held at Eastside Baptist Church located at 333 Supper Club Road, Mebane, NC 27302 on May 25th , 2023. Visitation at 1pm with service to follow at 2 pm, other times the family will be at the residence. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Eastside Baptist Church in the name of Johnny Marshall Martin.
